"Working Toward Zero" is a presentation she has delivered at the American Operating Room Nurses Convention (AORN), Association for Professionals in Infection Control (APIC), National Association of Orthopedic Nurses Convention, Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada and many local chapters, hospitals and educational events. It showcases a unique bundle approach to effectively reducing healthcare acquired infections. She is available to present this lecture at conferences, conventions and educational events.
The multidisciplinary work she has pioneered and directed at the New England Baptist Hospital serves as a model for best practice, illustrating the importance of team work and evidenced based medicine. She had full support from the administration, surgeons, staff and Board of Trustees to champion this effort at the institution. That is the key to a successful working toward zero team.
In May 2012 she was selected as one of the "Who's Who of Infection Prevention" by Infection Control Today. She is a frequent international speaker working with operating room nurses and physicians in Singapore, Jakarta - Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia, Cagayan and Manila - Philippines, Paris - France, Istanbul - Turkey, Buenos Aires - Argentina, and Toronto, Vancouver, St John's - Canada.
